See what's checked out on your account, access the library's online resources off campus, and more.

Library Remote Access

Authentication for remote/off-campus access requires:

▪ Go to the library catalog and click Log In at the top of the page in the blue banner.

▪ Your PTS Barbour Library barcode number found on the back of your ID card or library card.

▪ Your last name. Omit any spaces, hyphens, or apostrophes (i.e. ONeill rather than O'Neill).

  ▪ A valid PTS record in the library's patron database.  (DMin students may have to revalidate their records with the Circulation Desk each year.)

For more information, call the Circulation Desk at 412-924-1354, or email libraryinfo@pts.edu.

My Account Services

Extending the due date (renewing) of the materials you have checked out is easy.

Find and click on "MY ACCOUNT" at the top of the library catalog.

Enter your library barcode and last name (omit spaces, hyphens, and apostrophes.

Use the Checkouts tab to renew items.

Use the Requests tab to place and monitor hold requests on checked out items.

Troubleshooting Renewal Issues

WATCH FOR MESSAGES that may indicate issues with your renewal.  For example:

1. You cannot renew items because:

You owe too much money

 2. "Not all renewals were successful. See details below."

If your checked out items were due before you try to renew them, you will see this message in red lettering . You may also see under the due date a message like this: FINE( up to now) $1.00 (also in red letters).

3. All accounts have an expiration date.

Usually it is a year from when the account was activated or renewed.  If your account has expired, you will not be able to access your account.  For this problem or any others, please contact the library at 412-924-1354 or email libraryinfo@pts.edu.
