Authentication for remote/off-campus access requires:
▪ Your last name.
▪ Your PTS Barbour Library barcode number found on the back of your ID card or library card.
▪ A valid PTS record in the library's patron database. (DMin students may have to revalidate their records with the Circulation Desk each year.)

If you are searching for an item and it shows in the library catalog as being “CHECKED OUT”, as per the example below, you can ask the system to notify you when it is returned (request an item).
Searching for Sunday : loving, leaving, and finding the Church

2. Find the “Request this item” button. Click it and enter your last name and the barcode number from your ID card or library card.
When the item is returned, you will be notified and it will be held for you at the circulation desk.
All accounts have an expiration date.
Usually it is a year from when the account was activated or renewed. If your account has expired, you will not be able to place a request. For this problem or any others, please contact the library at 412-924-1354.
