Off Campus Access

If you are unsure of how to access material in our digital collections when not on campus, see the Remote Access LibGuide for more information. Off-campus accessibility is only provided to PTS students, faculty, and staff. If you encounter problems with remote access, call the circulation desk during library hours at 412-924-1354, or email Ellen Little or Alyson Pope.

Quiet Study

The reference room on the first floor is designated for quiet study. There are also closed carrels on the second and ground floors that can be reserved if you desire an enclosed, one-person space.

Computers and Copying/Printing

  • There are 13 computers in the Computer Lab (accessible 24/7), including 3 that can be used by the general public. There are a few additional computers on both the second and ground floor along the perimeter of the main book stacks.
  • WiFi is available throughout the building and does not require a password. The network is PTS_Wireless.
  • There are 3 Xerox copier/printers in the building, one in the computer lab, one on the first floor near the elevator, and one on the ground floor in the main hallway to the book stacks. Copies and prints are free, and there is also an option to scan to email.
  • There is an additional printer on the second floor next to the computers. It does not do copies or scans.

Food and Drink

Food is allowed everywhere in the building with the exception of the reference room. Covered drinks are allowed throughout the library. Food is available for purchase via credit or debit card in the Peters Cafe on the first floor.
